This product recall occurred on July 11, 2024 and involves approximately 99,400 units. Moreover, approximately 10,000 were additionally sold in Canada. The product hazard associated with these various heaters involves an issue whereby these recalled smart heaters can activate without user input, thereby posing obvious burn and fire hazards. The model number for these recalled Atomi Smart Tower Heaters is model AT1323, and for further product identification purposes, additional tower models are also implicated in this recall, including tower models AT1481, AT1520 and AT1632; tabletop models AT1482 and AT1521; and wall heater model AT1635 (these product and model numbers are located on an identification sticker on the bottom of each unit.

These recalled portable electric heaters were sold in colors of silver, white and black and measure approximately 28 inches tall by 8-11 inches wide. The tabletop heater models measure about 18 inches tall and eight inches wide. Atomi is in receipt of a report of the heater activating without user input. These recalled heaters were sold at retail in various stores and online at Amazon, Ace Hardware, Atomiusa.com, Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco, Hammacher Schlemmer, Home Depot, Lowes.com, Menards, Sam's Club and Walmart stores. They were sold beginning in October 2019 through April 2024 at varying price points between $80 and $150, depending on the model. These heaters were imported by Atomi Smart, of New York and manufactured in China.
